It is home to some of the most rare and endangered species on earth like - the elusive tiger and the prehistoric rhinoceros, including many species of mammals, birds, insects and reptiles.
 

Royal Bardia national Park
Royal Bardia national Park situated in western Terai of Nepal is one of largest and luxuriant parks in the region. The park is the home of many endangered faunas, reptiles and birds - including the furious tiger. Some years ago several one horned rhinos where translocated here from Chitwan. Over the years Bardia has also been a good place for tiger viewing - a rare event anywhere.
 
Kosi Tapu Wildlife Reserve
The Kosi Tapu and the Kosi Barrage in east Nepal provide one of the best places in Nepal to view migratory water fowl, waders and shore birds during the winter months. Many species not recorded elsewhere in the region have been seen here. Thousands of birds congregate here in January and February before they migrate north when the warm weather begins.

The entire state is mesmerizing. The snowy mountains and beautiful surrounding offer some very exquisite sights to the tourists. In Sikkim you can try your hand in river rafting in the Ranjeet and Teesta river, also go for trekking and visit some very appealing Buddhist Monasteries in Sikkim.
 
Few Difficulties
The winters are too harsh. The terrain is rugged, so you might face problem in transportation. Sometimes some routes are closed due to landslides and heavy snowfall. The major cities offer best facilities and services to its visitors. Again, you might face problems while communicating to the locales, as English is the learned man's language. If you need your choice of food then you have to book with the luxurious hotels and accommodation facilities. You might not find a luxurious facility in the remote areas of Nepal.
 
Few Suggestions
Carry all the documents required to travel Nepal. Carry good quality trekking shoes, as you might need them while travelling to higher zones. Winter are too cold, hence carry warm clothes during winters. Drink packaged bottled water and eat food from authentic restaurants. Avoid any confrontation with the local people.
