Safari Tour
Wild India is one of the country's most experienced safari and travel operators, with a major presence in the web-world. We offer our visitors a wealth of information on India wildlife travel including destination knowledge
Camel Safari, Rajasthan
Camel Safari is one of the unique way to explore small villages in Rajasthan. Camel Safaris at the top of this ship of the desert is most exciting and soft adventure. Riding a camel is not easy as people consider. It is neither a great test for endurance. It is a great experience to explore The Thar - a vibrantly, living, desert, very colourful and hospitable.
Itineraries of 2 to 7 days can be arranged traversing approx. 40-50 kms a day on camel. These itineraries are planned in the region of Bikaner, Khimsar, Osian and Jaisalmer. Nights halts are usually given near the village to provide opportunities to mingle with the local village folks and to provide insight to the traditional way of their life and culture. Besides one camel per pax on the safari, a camel cart accompanies on the tour to handle baggage and allow riders to take rest as and when required.
Jeep Safari
When you want to explore the wilds of the remote areas or the dense ones, the option is to board a jeep. Why a Jeep? Well, it's the most secure way if you don't want to get scared when you hear the growl of a Lion or Tiger! More of all jeep is the best way to get the inside look of the forest and its topography.
You can enjoy the jeep safari tours available in the various wildlife sanctuaries in India. Some of the best ones are Rajaji National Park, Corbett National Park and Dudhwa National Park in U.P and Gir National Park in Gujarat. You will get a whole new Jungle experience in these sanctuaries while moving about in a jeep. And do not forget to click some pictures too!
Elephant Safari
Elephant safari helps the visitor to travel through such difficult terrains where even jeeps cannot venture. And why not, riding an elephant takes you back to the royal era, when only the kings use to ride on these majestic beasts, since nothing can even compare with the majesty of the Pachyderm. Equipped with a howdah, a large seat on which they would sit, complete with soft silk cushions, and with a ceremonial umbrella over the riders head, modern day elephant safaris may lack in comparison with the ones that use to be done by the kings, but are no less regal on that account.
The elephant moves slowly and steadily, that's why this type of safari is ideal in and around the wild regions or within the vicinity of the wildlife sanctuaries, where riding the elephant can give you an easy excess for viewing the wildlife. More of all a elephant safari tour in the tropical wildlife sanctuaries of India gets you up, close and personal with these majestic animals.
Jeep Safari
In Rajasthan, the tourist can today have the pleasure of riding through trails dotted and marked with cenotaphs and tombstones of many brave and valiant. Rajput warriors. Trails which take them through villages, pass huge and ancient forts and temples.Nights can be spent in ancient palaces and Garhs(small forts) now owned by the descendants of those glorious Rajput rulers. These palaces not only provide modern amenities but cultural programmes and entertainment is also available. Evenings are spent at campsites which are splashed with colour in the form of local folk dance and music. Tourists can have the pleasure of being escorted by a English speaking 'trial guide'.
